Don't want to waste time but don't know what to do, how should I arrange my time? By Anonymous | Published on December 18, 2024

I don't want to waste time and I don't know what to do. The things that come to mind are the most basic and time-consuming, and I won't see results even after spending a lot of time on them. I'm in a hurry.

Good day. My name is Jane, and I am grateful to have made your acquaintance.

I empathize with your predicament. I frequently find myself in a similar quandary, questioning whether I should berate myself for wasting time on inconsequential pursuits.

Let us consider how we should utilize our time.

From a psychological perspective, an individual's day is comprised of a multitude of emotional experiences.

It is possible that individuals are unaware of their emotional state when engaged in work activities that elicit a sense of flow. Conversely, they may experience other emotions, such as irritability and anxiety, at other times.

Therefore, the mind tends to gravitate towards a state of flow. Individuals are averse to experiencing negative emotions such as restlessness and anxiety, as they perceive such states as meaningless.

Therefore, if one can let go of those annoying emotions, one will perceive one's time as valuable.

How, then, might we experience less restlessness?

It is recommended that one actively identify and remove from one's life those factors that are known to cause irritation.

It is important to note that the restlessness discussed here does not encompass the negative emotions experienced when confronted with challenges at work or in academic pursuits. Rather, it is a phenomenon that can be actively chosen by the individual.

For example, it is acknowledged that prolonged exposure to video content may be a source of frustration. Therefore, it is possible to intentionally limit the time spent viewing videos. One strategy is to create a schedule that records whether videos were watched and, if so, for how long. This approach can facilitate a sense of control over time and potentially alleviate negative feelings associated with excessive video consumption.

It is only through the practical application of a desire for positive change that one can obtain feedback and gain new insights.

It is recommended that one should take the initiative to increase the number of activities that elicit positive feedback.

There are certain tasks that we consistently defer, such as unfinished books, incomplete homework assignments, and professional courses that have not been reviewed.

What are the underlying causes of procrastination?

The initial stage of learning is often challenging, and it is not uncommon to feel exhausted and to see little progress. However, with perseverance and a gradual approach to the task at hand, it is possible to gradually overcome these difficulties and to eventually feel more at ease.

Some examples of positive activities include spending time in nature, engaging in campus activities, painting, and cleaning.

What are the characteristics of a positive activity?

From one perspective, it enables one to achieve a state of flow. From another perspective, it allows for the receipt of positive feedback. Furthermore, it facilitates movement, both physically and mentally. Ultimately, it engenders a sense of enjoyment and accomplishment.

It can be challenging to take action when one is concerned about how others may perceive them.

Indeed, it is evident that initiating the process is relatively straightforward. The initial stage is typically straightforward, yet many individuals tend to avoid it.

First, one must establish a reference point. It is possible that one already has a reference point in one's subconscious mind: "He does it well, he is unattainable, I can't do it as well as him."

It is imperative to personalize this concept when undertaking any task.

It is imperative to recognize that you are the primary agent in this process, utilizing both manual and cognitive capabilities to accomplish the task at hand. Moreover, the work in question is inherently personal, as it pertains solely to your own endeavors.

The purpose of references is not to facilitate comparison; rather, they provide ideas for learning, akin to hints in games. Ultimately, however, the onus is on the individual to turn off this process.

The subject displays a reluctance to engage in physical movement.

I am aware that, on many occasions, my reluctance to undertake a task is simply a reflection of my lack of motivation. I comprehend the rationale behind this, yet I find myself lacking the requisite energy and motivation to proceed. If only I could simply envision the outcome and then execute the task.

The issue that requires resolution is the need to initiate movement with one's hands.

It is recommended that the simplest tasks be completed first.

To illustrate, if one is tasked with composing an essay but is reluctant to do so, one might consider the following strategy: upon initiating the computer, one has already completed a significant portion of the assignment. Therefore, it may be beneficial to refrain from engaging in any further actions that could impede progress.

This is the power of micro-habits.

In conclusion,

The question thus arises as to whether time can be considered a resource that is wasted.

Life is only experienced in the present moment, and the present moment is a choice. Waste also only exists in the present moment, so it is imperative to start making conscious choices.

It is my hope that we all possess the capacity to embark on a new chapter in our lives, free from the burden of self-blame for past actions and the constraints of an uncertain future.

It is my sincere hope that my response will prove to be of some assistance to you.

I encourage you to take action.

Hello! I'm sending you a hug.

I'm happy to help. I admire your awareness of procrastination and fear. You're right to seek help.

You can't accept your true self. You have too high expectations of yourself.

You can't make changes because you're avoiding frustration. You imagine something difficult and then feel bad when you don't succeed. You think you're terrible and not good enough.

What do you think?

The key to changing this state is to accept yourself, build self-confidence, and enhance your sense of self-worth.

Don't expect perfection, accept yourself, and don't judge yourself based on your results.

Set yourself reasonable goals that you can accomplish with a little effort. Your confidence will grow when you succeed at something you can do.

Your abilities and self-confidence grow from doing things. When you imagine something difficult, you feel frustrated, less confident, and unable to act.

What do you think?

Feeling rushed can be tough. How about setting small, manageable goals? That way, you can accomplish things quickly without spending too much time on any one task, and still see progress.
