[Dream interpretation] I keep dreaming about my child falling into the water at our hometown. Why do I keep dreaming about my child? By Anonymous | Published on December 18, 2024

Last night I suddenly anxiety/what-should-i-do-when-i-often-daydream-and-pretend-to-study-but-cant-seem-to-focus-on-learning-10975.html" target="_blank">dreamed that my seven-year-old child suddenly seemed to be only two or three years old, and fell into the water in the village where I grew up and used to draw water and wash clothes when I was young. The water was actually not very deep, and a stream of water flowed from a long way away. Before the village was connected to the water supply, everyone used to draw water there, and I remember doing so for more than 20 years. I dreamed that my child suddenly fell into that water, and almost got swept away as he followed the current. I dove in to go get him, ran as fast as I could to the water's edge, grabbed him in one fell swoop, and he was soaked to the skin. Water splashed over his face, and he cried out, "Mommy!" I felt relieved.

At that moment, I felt relieved from the anxiety, tension and worry. The dream even woke me up, and when I opened my eyes, I realized it was a dream, so I closed them again and fell asleep. Why have I been dreaming about my child recently?

Landon Miller Forgiveness is a way to release the energy that has been tied up in anger and use it for something positive.

I've been having dreams about my child too lately. Maybe it's because they're such a big part of our lives that even when we sleep, they're on our minds. The worries and love we have for them just translate into these vivid scenarios.

It sounds like your dream was really intense and emotional. I can relate to feeling so protective; the idea of anything happening to our kids is terrifying. Perhaps these dreams are a manifestation of our deepest fears and the stress we carry as parents trying to keep them safe.

Dreams about children can be so symbolic. Yours seems to reflect not only parental anxiety but also nostalgia for your own childhood. It's interesting how places from our past can reappear in such dramatic ways in our dreams, especially those tied to memories of care and daily life.
