I'm under a lot of pressure at work and I want to escape. How can I relieve my emotions? By Anonymous | Published on December 18, 2024

During the day when I work, I feel like someone is holding the entire back of my neck and shoulders with something, and the strings in my temples are being tautened. I can't feel any interest in anything, I can't concentrate on reading materials, I can't remember what I've read, and I often do things in a daze. I feel like my health is getting worse and worse due to insomnia. Every day I feel very anxious and uneasy, and I feel that there are too many uncontrollable factors in life. I want to escape and flee from the crowd. My parents say that I'm overthinking and want me to learn to control my emotions. I don't know how to relieve this state of mine.

I totally understand how you're feeling. It sounds like you're carrying a lot of tension and stress, especially in your neck and shoulders. Maybe taking short breaks to stretch or do some gentle neck rolls could help ease that tightness throughout the day.

The symptoms you describe sound really tough. It's almost as if all the pressures are piling up and making it hard for you to focus or even enjoy anything. Have you considered speaking with a professional who can offer guidance on managing these overwhelming feelings?

It seems like the stress has built up to a point where it's affecting your daily life significantly. Finding a hobby or activity that calms you down might be beneficial. Even something simple like coloring or listening to music can sometimes provide relief.

Feeling this way can make everything seem insurmountable. It might help to start with small, manageable goals each day. Setting tiny objectives can give you a sense of achievement without adding more pressure.

I hear you. It's frustrating when people tell you to just control your emotions without understanding what you're going through. Seeking out a support group or community that understands might provide some comfort and practical advice.
