Why do I keep having dreams where there's danger but I can't run? By Anonymous | Published on December 18, 2024

I have had such dreams several times, where someone is chasing me, or I feel danger from behind, and I need to run quickly. My legs feel as if they are filled with lead, no matter how hard I try, I can't run. Or, when I exert myself, I run very fast, but in reality, I have only walked a short distance. The running process is particularly exhausting and heavy. In college, I also had similar dreams, longing to fly like birds, but I don't have wings, only two arms. Even when I flap them twice, I can only fly very low. I would like to ask everyone, what does this dream signify?

Good day, Sir. It is a unique experience to see you in person through your written words.

It is said that dreams are the subconscious's response. When I saw this question, I was curious about how the poster felt when having these dreams and when waking up. Because this part of the information is missing, I can only put myself in the poster's shoes and think about how I would feel if it were me. For the poster's reference:

I am aware of a potential threat in my vicinity, which may induce feelings of anxiety and apprehension.

Despite recognizing the necessity to act swiftly to avoid a potential threat, I may encounter limitations in my ability to do so. This could potentially lead to feelings of helplessness, anxiety, frustration, and even discontentment with myself.

The aspiration to fly like a bird: at that moment, I desired freedom and the ability to navigate to my desired destination.

Even if I were to fly, I would fly especially low. This may result in feelings of sadness and defeat, given the discrepancy between my aspirations and the reality of my situation. I am uncertain as to whether I will experience feelings of self-denial. Additionally, I am unsure if "especially low" is a comparative degree.

Do we observe other birds in our vicinity and perceive them to be flying at a higher altitude?

I am unaware of the specific experiences of the individual in question, as well as the frequency with which they enter such dreams. I am uncertain as to whether they would be amenable to sharing additional details at a later point in time. However, I will endeavor to provide further insights into this dream, which has been characterized by a pervasive sense of heaviness. It is unclear whether the individual will experience fatigue from an internal source upon waking.

However, I still perceive that the host has strength within, just as we can still exert the power of our wings, despite having only one pair.

I wish you all the best.

Hello, I'm Strawberry!

Your dreams are a reflection of your innermost thoughts and desires. They're a way for your subconscious mind to process and release stress. So, dreaming is a totally normal and healthy thing! It's the belief that "dreaming is harmful to health" that can be harmful.

The dreamer is being pursued by someone or something. He senses danger behind him and wants to run away, but his legs won't move. He tries to move forward, and while he only goes a little way, he keeps trying. The dream may be different from reality, but the emotions are real.

When you feel danger, it's time to embrace your fear and make a quick escape! You've got something inside you that you're ready to let go of. It's been occupying your mind, but now it's time to let it go. It might come up in ordinary times, but you're ready to move on from it!

You want to escape, and you will! You may think you can get away from the impact of this matter on you, but it is more stubborn than you think. You haven't let go yet, but you will!

What an intriguing dream! It's about being in danger but unable to escape.

1. Find and solve the people and things that trouble you!

In the dream, the questioner said someone was chasing after them, and you felt danger. Did you see the person's face? If you could vaguely see it, it means that this person has caused you trouble in reality, and the other person has influenced you. You are unable to get away with your current abilities and strength, which is why you can't run away. But here's the good news: you can run very hard and you can go far! We all know that running is very tiring, but you can do it! The person who asked the question in the dream must be very helpless and scared. You feel very tired, but you can't make yourself run quickly. You are stuck in the status quo, and you are powerless to face the problem, but you have not given up. Even though the process is tiring, give yourself a big hug here, because it is your own perseverance that gives you the opportunity to solve the problems that have affected you, even

You can run very hard, but you can't go far. We all know that running is very tiring. The person who asked the question in the dream must be very helpless and scared. You feel very tired, but you can't make yourself run quickly. You are stuck in the status quo, and you are powerless to face the problem, but you have not given up. Even though the process is tiring, give yourself a big hug here, because it is your own perseverance that gives you the opportunity to solve the problems that have affected you, even if it takes time.

2. Get to know your own pace of life!

In real life, we are under more or less pressure. But dreams are a way to relieve stress! They also remind us to let go of anxiety and nervousness and to rest properly.

In addition to work, there are so many other ways to make your life more exciting! Talk to others, go on trips, get together with friends, exercise, read, sing, etc. These are all great ways to relieve your stress. When we are not so anxious and nervous, we will also have a different attitude towards things. Our attitude determines everything, so let's choose to have a positive one!

Eating a balanced diet, avoiding overeating and fried or hot food, maintaining a regular routine, avoiding staying up late, avoiding using a mobile phone before going to bed, and meditating to relax and sleep better are also great ways to improve your situation!

3. Get creative and try different methods to solve the problem!

The questioner is trying to change the situation, and they're going to succeed! The situation may not be particularly obvious, but that's okay. At least in your dreams you feel this way. The most important person in actually solving the problem is still yourself. If you are confused and don't know which direction to go, you can talk to your loved ones or friends to see if there is a different solution to refer to.

If you feel that you are temporarily unable to change, don't worry! You can always seek professional help to guide you to see the problems you care about and want to solve the most. Although you can perceive your emotions and problems, don't fret! Even when we are stuck in a dilemma, we can still find effective solutions.

I really hope my answer is helpful to the questioner! Best wishes!

You mentioned that you've had this dream a few times. It's about someone chasing you or feeling like there's danger behind you, so you run, but your legs feel like they're weighted down with lead. No matter how hard you try, you just can't run. Or you try really hard and run really fast, but you only go a short distance. The process of running feels really laborious and heavy. When you were at university, you also had a similar dream. You longed to be able to fly like a bird, but you don't have wings, just two arms. Even if you flap them twice, you can only fly really low.

What does this dream mean?

The dreams are telling you that when you encounter danger, you always try to run away, but you can't run fast or far, and you can't fly high, which is different from what you expected. You feel especially tired and heavy. You are always filled with feelings of powerlessness, heaviness, and anger.

It's possible you may not accept or reject yourself for being like this. Why can't you run? Why can't you fly high?

It's possible that you've been held back, that you've been prevented from acting, and that you've experienced this sense of powerlessness and helplessness many times. This has made you repeat compulsively an acquired helplessness. You don't have enough strength to escape danger, and you don't have enough ability to face danger, so you are stuck in this state, unable to run far or fly high. You may have a lot of pent-up grievances, pain, and anger inside, and the ensuing feelings of powerlessness, heaviness, and confusion.

So, be kinder to yourself, start with the small things in your daily life, take responsibility for yourself, boost your self-confidence, and improve your ability to act.

If you're having trouble dealing with difficulties, you can also find a counselor to help you adjust and strengthen your inner strength.

You've got this! Best of luck!

Hello, question asker! I'm so honored to answer your question. After reading your description, I'd love to ask you a few quick questions. First, would you mind telling me your gender and age? It would also be great if you could tell me a little bit about your work.

In the psychoanalytic school of thought, dreams are seen as the subconscious activities of the human mind. They're more realistic and reflect one's current state. Dreams themselves are characterized by discontinuity, instability, and incompleteness. The more detailed the information given in life, the better the scientific nature of the dream interpretation will be. You dreamed that you were in danger, which indicates that you are under a lot of pressure in real life. This pressure makes you feel like escaping, but out of a sense of responsibility, you can't escape from the problems brought about by real life. So you feel like you can't run fast enough, like you want to fly but you don't have wings.

If you keep experiencing your dream fully, do you feel like you're trapped in the water? You run as fast as you can, but you can't escape, so you just swim by flailing your arms around. You try your best to get out of this tricky situation, but you feel a bit powerless.

I can sense that the pressure you're facing in real life has caused you to regress to a certain extent, almost as if you're back in your mother's womb, so that danger won't harm you. But your inner wisdom also knows that this regressive state isn't helpful, so you're looking forward to moving on from it. These two different ideas have caused you a bit of pain.

Writing and talking can really help to relieve psychological pressure. If you think it would be helpful, you could look into professional psychological counseling. This would be a great way to express your concerns and work with professionals to find ways to deal with these pressures. Once the external pressures are gone, the basis for these nightmares will also be gone. I'd be really happy to have an appointment. 1983. The world and I love you!

Hazel Steel Learning is a gift that keeps on giving.

These dreams where you feel chased or sense danger, they resonate with me a lot. It seems like they reflect moments in life when we're under pressure or facing challenges that seem overwhelming. The feeling of trying to run but not getting anywhere could symbolize struggles against obstacles that are hard to overcome.

Victoria Miller Growth is a journey of learning to see the world with a beginner's mind.

Dreams of being pursued or sensing threats can be so vivid and intense. For me, they sometimes represent internal conflicts or anxieties about things I've been avoiding. The sensation of your legs being heavy might just be a manifestation of the weight of these concerns in real life, making it feel like no matter how much effort you put in, progress is slow and laborious.

Isabella Miller True learning is not about memorizing facts but understanding concepts.

I remember having those dreams too, especially the part about wanting to fly but not being able to get off the ground properly. It feels like a metaphor for aspirations that are just out of reach. Perhaps these dreams indicate a desire for freedom or escape from situations that feel confining, wishing for an ability to rise above problems effortlessly, but reality doesn't always allow for that.

Edward Miller A single lie destroys a whole reputation of integrity.

Such dreams often leave me thinking about personal limitations and the struggle between our ambitions and the realities we face. The imagery of flapping arms trying to fly might speak to efforts to achieve goals despite lacking the necessary resources or support. It's as if the subconscious is telling us that even small achievements require great effort and determination.
