Aaron Johnson is a distinguished technology psychologist and professor at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. With over two decades of experience under his belt, Aaron has made significant contributions to the understanding of digital well-being, online behavior, and the evolving relationship between humans and machines. His work spans across various sectors including education, mental health, and corporate strategy.
Since 2002, Aaron has led studies involving thousands of participants from Canada and beyond, exploring how people adapt to rapid technological advancements. He authored five books that delve into the nuances of living in a digitally dominated era. His latest publication, "The Mindful Digital Citizen," co-authored with Dr. Emily Carter, was released in April 2023. This book explores strategies for maintaining focus and mental clarity in an age of constant connectivity. Aaron earned his B.A. in Cognitive Science from McGill University, graduating top of his class, and went on to receive his Ph.D. in Psychology from Stanford University. He lives in Vancouver, BC, where he enjoys hiking the local trails, practicing yoga, attending live music events, and mentoring young entrepreneurs.
