Abigail Nguyen

Abigail Nguyen earned her B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and is now an Associate Professor of Environmental Science at the College of Sustainability Studies at Arizona State University, as well as a Research Fellow in the Department of Global Health at Duke University.

Over the past two decades, Abigail has dedicated herself to international conservation efforts, working extensively with various non-governmental organizations across Southeast Asia. She was honored with the Global Conservation Award for her outstanding contributions. Alongside Dr. Mei Lin, she co-authored several influential articles exploring the intersection of environmental science and public health policy. Together, they also published the book titled "Harmonizing Nature: The Role of Urban Green Spaces," which launched in March 2023.

Abigail calls Phoenix, Arizona her home, living there with her partner and their rescue dog, where she continues to advocate for sustainable urban development and community-based conservation projects.
