Motto:Circumstances? I make circumstances!
Addison Grace Ross, Co-Founder of THRIVE and Partner at Mindful Horizons Wellness. In the spring of 2024, THRIVE launched as an innovative mental health initiative aimed at supporting artists and creatives, becoming a beacon among the diverse therapeutic offerings at Mindful Horizons Wellness.
Addison is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Creative Arts at the University of Southern California (USC). Since joining the faculty in 2015, Addison has specialized in fostering creativity and sustainable career development for emerging artists.
Prior to her academic pursuits, Addison spent nearly two decades in arts administration, including a decade as the Director of Artist Development at the Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department. She spearheaded the integration of digital platforms into artist management and was instrumental in transforming local cultural policies to better support the creative community. Addison also founded the Creative Minds Network, guiding workforce strategies for over 20,000 professionals within the Los Angeles area for more than ten years.
In response to the challenges faced by artists during the global economic downturn of 2023, Addison led initiatives funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, offering mentorship programs and resources to independent creators across the Pacific Northwest. She serves on the advisory board of ArtSecure, a company dedicated to protecting intellectual property rights.
Addison earned her Master of Fine Arts from USC and resides in Venice Beach with her partner.
