Motto:In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.

Albert Flores, Ph.D., is a dedicated educator and the dean of the University of Arizona's School of Public Health. Albert has pioneered the integration of augmented reality (AR) technology into therapeutic settings to aid in the treatment of PTSD among veterans. Currently, he is spearheading a project launched in early 2024 that explores how AR can be used to facilitate exposure therapy in a controlled environment, specifically for those affected by combat-related trauma.

Based in Tucson, Arizona, his work bridges multiple disciplines, incorporating insights from mental health, technology, military science, and psychology. Through these cross-disciplinary efforts, Albert aims to provide more effective tools for clinicians and therapists working with service members and veterans, helping them to reintegrate into civilian life more smoothly. His innovative approach not only enhances the effectiveness of traditional therapy methods but also opens up new avenues for research and application in the field of mental health care.
