Albert Young, Ph.D., is a dedicated professor of environmental science at the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University. Albert's research focuses on sustainable urban development, renewable energy adoption in developing countries, climate change mitigation strategies, and the impact of environmental policies on local communities. His work on renewable energy has received support from the Environmental Protection Agency. Additionally, he co-authored several textbooks on environmental science and sustainability practices, and contributed to an influential book discussing the effects of climate change on biodiversity.

In 2023, Albert became the President of the Society for Environmental Studies (SES), an affiliate of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Previously, he served as the Vice President of Community Engagement for SES and was part of a United Nations task force addressing global climate issues. Currently, he acts as an Associate Editor for the journal Renewable Energy Innovations and a Consulting Editor for Environmental Policy Reviews. Albert is recognized as a Fellow by the IUCN, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the Ecological Society of America. In 2022-2023, he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship, conducting research on sustainable agriculture in Costa Rica.

On a personal note, Albert enjoys sharing his passion for environmental conservation through various media platforms. Over the past fifteen years, he has edited educational materials across multiple disciplines, including environmental studies, geography, and public policy. Beyond academia, Albert hosts a popular podcast called Green Horizons, where he discusses pressing environmental topics with experts from around the globe.
