Motto:Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.
Alexandra Claire Hart-Turner, Ph.D., LMFT, has recently established herself as a leading family therapist and co-founder of Hearthstone Family Therapy Center in San Francisco. Alexandra is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience in child psychology, trauma-informed care, and systemic therapy. She previously worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University, where she mentored doctoral students focusing on family therapy.
In her latest role, Alexandra has been instrumental in developing innovative therapeutic programs that cater to the unique needs of families affected by intergenerational trauma. Her research has led to several influential publications in peer-reviewed journals, covering topics such as enhancing communication within families, supporting children from diverse cultural backgrounds, and equipping educators with counseling skills to foster supportive classroom environments.
Alexandra's dedication to community service is evident through her active participation in various workshops and seminars across North America, Europe, and Asia. She often speaks on the importance of mental health awareness and the integration of therapy into everyday life for stronger family bonds.
At Hearthstone Family Therapy Center, Alexandra provides compassionate care to clients ranging from young children to elderly adults, with a particular emphasis on helping parents understand and address their own childhood experiences to better support their offspring. She believes in the power of storytelling and encourages families to share their narratives as part of the healing process.
Furthermore, Alexandra is committed to advancing the field of family therapy and currently holds a position on the advisory board for the California Association for Marriage and Family Therapists, where she advocates for policy changes that promote accessible mental health services for all families.
