Alexei Sage Ziegler, Ph.D., is a pioneering social psychologist and an associate professor at the Department of Psychology, University of British Columbia. Based in Vancouver, Canada, Alexei also directs the Social Dynamics and Diversity (SDD) Lab, where innovative research on multiculturalism, gender fluidity, and inclusivity thrives.

With a keen interest in how individuals from diverse cultural, gender, and sexuality backgrounds navigate their identities within complex sociopolitical landscapes, Alexei's work highlights the potential for personal growth amidst challenges. His research philosophy posits that human development is deeply intertwined with the dynamic interplay between personal experiences and broader societal narratives.

Since joining the university in 2022, Alexei has contributed to over 40 peer-reviewed articles and co-authored a book on the intersection of culture and psychology.
