Annabelle Collins, Ph.D., is a renowned psychologist, psychoanalyst, and certified group therapist with a specialization in trauma recovery. As of 2024, Annabelle has recently stepped down after dedicating 30 years as a Full Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Melbourne in Australia. She continues to maintain a thriving private practice in the heart of Sydney.
Over her illustrious career, Annabelle has offered her expertise on mental health resilience in various challenging situations, including community crises like bushfires, floods, and the recent global health pandemic. In March 2023, she addressed the Australian Parliament regarding the psychological support required for frontline healthcare workers and their families. Throughout the year, she organizes monthly workshops under the banner of "Strength Through Unity" for children affected by natural disasters at the Royal Life Saving Society in Brisbane.
Annabelle is co-author of several influential books such as Resilience in Adversity: A Guide for Families Facing Hardship; Building Community Strength: Group Strategies for Recovery and Growth; and Reflections on Therapy: The Impact of Personal Change on Professional Practice. Additionally, she has penned over 50 articles and chapters that explore innovative approaches to therapy and community mental health. She also hosts “Mind Matters,” a popular podcast that delves into psychological insights and personal growth stories, broadcasted globally via the Insight Network.
