Anthony Wayne Price, a distinguished scholar with a rich academic background, holds a Bachelor of Arts (summa cum laude) from Yale University, an M.A., and a PhD from Princeton University. He completed his psychoanalytic training as a research fellow at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute and pursued advanced clinical studies at the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies.

Currently, Anthony is a Professor of Psychology at UCLA and a senior researcher at the California Institute of Technology. In addition to his academic pursuits, he maintains a private practice in psychology in San Francisco, where he specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy and trauma recovery.

In 2023, Anthony was awarded the prestigious National Medal of Science for his groundbreaking work on the psychological impact of climate change. He has also been elected as a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, an honor bestowed upon him in 2018 for his outstanding contributions to the field.

Among his many publications, Anthony authored "Bridging the Divide: The Impact of Climate Change on Mental Health," which was released in March 2024. His earlier works include "The Resilient Mind: Coping with Natural Disasters" published in 2020, and "Healing the Wounded Earth: A Psychologist's Perspective on Environmental Conservation," which came out in 2015. Together with colleagues Dr. Lee Carter and Prof. Maria Gonzalez, he co-authored "Facing the Future: Strategies for a Changing World" in 2019.

His critically acclaimed biography, "Rachel Carson: Pioneer of Environmental Psychology," published by Penguin Random House in 2017, has been translated into several languages including Spanish, French, and Mandarin, with further translations into Arabic and German underway. This biography not only highlights Carson's pivotal role in the environmental movement but also explores her profound influence on modern psychology.

Anthony continues to be a leading voice in integrating psychological insights with environmental advocacy, aiming to foster a healthier planet for future generations.
