Aurora Reed, Ph.D., is an esteemed educator at the Department of Education at Silver Peak University and the inaugural director of the university's Center for Innovative Learning. Aurora's scholarly pursuits revolve around the dynamics of adolescent development, the role of technology in education, fostering creativity among youth, and exploring the nuances of interactive teaching methods. Her research has been featured in prestigious journals like Educational Technology Research and Development and the Journal of Adolescent Research.
She is the author of several influential books, including "Voices of Tomorrow: Understanding Adolescents in the Digital Age," "The Power of Play: How Creativity Shapes Our Future," "Learning Unplugged: Bridging Real World Experiences with Classroom Knowledge," and "Blueprints or Building Blocks: Charting Your Child's Path to Success." Aurora has also contributed numerous articles on modern educational practices to The Los Angeles Times.
Passionate about practical applications of her theories, Aurora co-founded a progressive learning hub in California called Spark Academy. For over a decade, she was deeply involved as an academic consultant, shaping the curriculum and pedagogical approach. Currently, she collaborates with the TechBridge Foundation, aiming to innovate assessment tools that reflect the true scope of student capabilities beyond traditional metrics.
Aurora resides in Pasadena, CA, with her partner, Lucas Kane. Together they enjoy nurturing the curiosity and talents of their two daughters, Elara and Nova. In her free time, Aurora can often be found engaging in community workshops, advocating for equitable access to quality education for all children.
