Avery Elizabeth Hall is a dedicated educator at the charming Maplewood Elementary School in Asheville, North Carolina. Over the past five years, she has been deeply involved in nurturing creativity, resilience, and a love for learning among her students.
Avery is not only passionate about teaching but also an advocate for arts education, which has earned her several accolades, including the school district’s Inspirational Teacher Award. Her efforts have been highlighted in local media outlets such as Asheville TV, Radio WNCW, and the Asheville Citizen-Times. She recently delivered two inspiring talks at the 2023 Arts & Education Conference.
She penned down her experiences and insights in her book "The Art of Nurturing: Embracing the Power of Creativity in Education," published by Appalachian Press in 2022, where she shares how integrating art into daily lessons can transform young minds.
Avery resides in the vibrant city of Asheville with her partner, Lucas, and their two children, Mia and Theo. Together they enjoy exploring the rich cultural landscape and natural beauty that Asheville offers.
