Beatrice L. Martinez, Ph.D., has taken up the position as the Elena and Miguel Hernandez Professor of Latin American Studies at the University of Buenos Aires.

Beatrice's journey to this prestigious role wasn't straightforward. After years of dedicated research on the cultural impacts of colonialism in South America, she earned her doctorate from a renowned university in Spain. Yet, it was her passion for education and commitment to her roots that brought her back to Argentina.
