Benedicta Osei, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist with over two decades of experience working in Vancouver, Canada, is the driving force behind "Embrace Empathy: The Healing Power of Understanding," an initiative aimed at fostering empathy across communities. Benedicta is also the founder of the Heartfelt Portraits Project (HPP), a non-profit organization that collaborates with local artists and individuals from diverse backgrounds to create public art installations that promote social inclusion.

Dr. Osei earned her bachelor's degree from the University of British Columbia and completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at McGill University. Known for her engaging presence, she frequently appears on CBC Radio and Television, offering expert insights into mental health issues. Dr. Osei contributes regularly to the Vancouver Observer, sharing her knowledge on psychological well-being and personal development.

Formerly the Director of Mental Health Services at St. Paul’s Hospital, Benedicta previously held the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Simon Fraser University. She is an esteemed member of the Canadian Psychological Association and has served as a board member for the Multicultural Mental Health Resource Center. In 2023, Benedicta was honored as Community Advocate of the Year for her outstanding contributions to mental health awareness and support.
