Cameron R. Thompson is an Assistant Professor of Education in the Early Childhood Education program at Georgia State University, located in the heart of Atlanta. Cameron also serves as the Lead Researcher at the Child Growth and Learning Center within the same university. As an educational psychologist, Cameron's research delves into exploring innovative teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes for preschool children.

In recent years, Cameron has shared findings through a series of impactful publications in prestigious peer-reviewed journals such as Early Education and Development, Journal of Educational Psychology, and Young Children. Cameron is also a guest editor for the International Journal of Early Years Education.

Cameron earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Stanford University, where they focused on early childhood development. They hold an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Vanderbilt University and completed their B.A. in Education (Magna Cum Laude) at Emory University.

This past spring, Cameron led a groundbreaking project that introduced interactive technology into classrooms across Atlanta, significantly improving engagement and literacy rates among young learners. The initiative was launched in April 2024 and has already garnered attention from educators and policymakers alike, looking to replicate its success in other regions.
