Carson

Motto:The more you express gratitude, the more you have to be grateful for.
Carson Miller, a dedicated educator and mindfulness advocate, has made his home in the vibrant city of Portland, Oregon. Carson’s journey began when he attended high school at Sunset High School in Beaverton. He then moved on to earn his B.A. in Psychology from Reed College right here in Portland. After completing his undergraduate studies in the spring of 2015, Carson embarked on an enriching experience volunteering with environmental conservation projects in Costa Rica. This adventure not only deepened his connection with nature but also sparked his interest in sustainable living practices.
Upon returning from Central America in early 2016, Carson pursued further education, obtaining an M.A. in Education and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Oregon State University. His doctoral research focused on the influence of outdoor education programs on adolescents' attitudes toward environmental stewardship. Over the past few years, Carson has expanded his expertise by engaging in numerous workshops and seminars that explore the intersection between education and sustainability.
In recent months, Carson has been particularly interested in how mindfulness can enhance learning experiences for students of all ages. Living in Portland since 2020, he now integrates mindfulness techniques into his teaching methods, helping young learners develop a greater awareness of their environment and themselves. Through interactive sessions, Carson promotes a holistic approach to education, combining traditional academic knowledge with practical life skills that encourage respect for our planet and its inhabitants.
Carson offers educational consultations, conducts workshops on sustainable practices, and provides guidance on integrating mindfulness into daily routines. His work is driven by a passion for nurturing the next generation of environmentally conscious citizens who are well-equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.
