Catherine Miller, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist based in San Francisco. She has recently taken on the role of director at the Pacific Center for Mental Health Innovation, an organization dedicated to pioneering new approaches in mental health care. Catherine is also a lead organizer of the Mindfulness and Wellness Conference held annually in Silicon Valley.
In her current position, Catherine focuses on developing programs that integrate mindfulness practices into traditional therapy sessions, aiming to help individuals cope with everyday stress and anxiety more effectively. Her work includes offering workshops and seminars to educators, therapists, and community leaders, teaching them how to apply these techniques within their own professional settings.
Catherine obtained her Level III Certification in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction from the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She is also a board-certified expert in trauma recovery through the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. As part of her ongoing commitment to education, she previously served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychology at Stanford University, where she mentored students and contributed to curriculum development.
Her research interests lie in exploring the benefits of mindfulness and meditation for people suffering from chronic stress and PTSD. Catherine regularly contributes articles to popular psychology magazines and academic journals, sharing insights gained from both her clinical practice and personal experience. She is passionate about promoting mental health awareness and ensuring culturally sensitive, compassionate care for all individuals.
