Charity Thompson, Ph.D., is a distinguished Research Fellow at the Institute for Global Studies in Sustainable Development located in San Francisco, and a Professor of Environmental Science at Stanford University. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2010. Dr. Thompson's work focuses on the bright side of human innovation, particularly within the realms of sustainability, environmental policy, and community development.
