Clara Fernandez, Ph.D., is a certified psychologist and the director of Bloom Mindfulness Studio in Barcelona, Spain. She also contributes to the psychology department at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Dr. Fernandez has previously shared her knowledge by teaching at various institutions across Madrid and Valencia. Additionally, she served as a research fellow at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Holding an M.A. and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Barcelona, she specializes in dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and integrative approaches to mental health.

Dr. Fernandez's academic pursuits are fueled by a deep interest in three key areas: 1) The dynamics of intergenerational relationships within Hispanic communities both in Europe and beyond; 2) The adaptation strategies of migrants and their integration into European societies; 3) Enhancing psychological resilience among urban populations. Her research has been featured in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Family Psychology, International Migration Review, and Urban Studies.

Her passion for exploring cultural diversity stems from a lifetime of moving between continents. Born in Mexico City, Clara has experienced life in vibrant cities throughout Latin America (Mexico, Colombia), Europe (Spain, Italy), and North America (the US). Living in these dynamic environments has not only shaped her worldview but has also inspired her dedication to bridging cultural gaps through psychological practice and research.
