Clarissa Marlowe, Ph.D., the mind behind "The Future of Cognitive Therapy," leads the innovative Integrative Psychotherapy Training Program at the University of Southern California. She is a certified clinical psychologist specializing in anxiety disorders, trauma recovery, and resilience-building techniques. Clarissa has pioneered an advanced therapeutic framework that she has detailed in numerous peer-reviewed articles, which she now employs to enhance her research into mental health promotion, emotional intelligence, and community engagement.
In early 2024, Clarissa embarked on a groundbreaking project with her team to develop personalized therapy protocols aimed at improving long-term patient outcomes. Her work also involves collaborating with tech developers to create applications that support mental wellness through interactive tools and real-time feedback.
Clarissa earned her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Stanford University and completed her doctoral studies at Harvard University. Following her Ph.D., she spent three years as a postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she worked alongside leading experts to investigate the role of neuroplasticity in cognitive-behavioral therapies for PTSD and chronic stress.
At USC, Clarissa shares her expertise by teaching courses on psychotherapeutic methods, trauma-informed care, psychological assessment, and digital mental health solutions.
