Colton Michael Foster is a renowned environmental scientist based in Portland, Oregon, with a career spanning over two decades of dedicated service. He is the author of "Green Horizons: A Guide to Sustainable Living and Environmental Stewardship." Alongside his doctorate in Environmental Science, Colton holds a Master's degree in Public Policy and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He has also completed extensive training in renewable energy technologies through a partnership between the Renewable Energy Institute and the University of Oregon.

Colton was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. In 2005, he received the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship, selected from hundreds of applicants worldwide. He spent his scholarship year at MIT’s advanced environmental research program. Following this, Colton moved to the United States and became a citizen under the category of "individuals with extraordinary ability" due to his pioneering work in sustainability and conservation.

After completing his scholarship, Colton worked extensively as an environmental consultant for the Oregon Department of Ecology in Eugene, focusing on water resource management and pollution control. Due to his expertise, he dealt with diverse challenges ranging from industrial waste management to promoting sustainable agricultural practices across the Willamette Valley. Later, he relocated to Portland where he took on a leadership role within the state's environmental policy department. Since 2010, Colton has been running his own consultancy firm, offering strategic advice on green initiatives and fostering innovative solutions for a healthier planet. His approach combines cutting-edge science with heartfelt compassion for the Earth, making him a sought-after expert in his field.
