Motto:Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you do, you will be successful.
Crystal Zhang, Ph.D., is captivated by the evolving relationship between personal growth and professional success. In her work, she examines how career milestones can lead to personal development and delves into the narratives professionals craft about their achievements and challenges. Crystal completed her doctoral studies in Organizational Psychology at the University of Sydney. Beyond her academic pursuits, Crystal has hands-on experience as a career coach, which bridges her research insights with practical applications in the real world. She recently secured a prestigious grant from the Australian Research Council, enabling her to embark on a two-year study at the University of Melbourne. Today, Crystal serves as an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior and Leadership at Monash University.
The findings from Crystal's research, along with her collaborators, have graced the pages of leading journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Harvard Business Review, and Academy of Management Journal. Her work has caught the attention of media outlets across Australia and Asia, including The Sydney Morning Herald and The Straits Times. Crystal has also penned a well-received book exploring the synergy between personal growth and professional advancement, which has been making waves in both academic and business circles.
On a sunny morning in April 2024, Crystal presented her latest research at a conference in Brisbane, where she discussed innovative strategies for fostering leadership skills and promoting employee well-being in dynamic work environments. Her engaging talk resonated with attendees, sparking lively discussions and opening doors for potential collaborations.
