Daphne King

Motto:A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination.
Daphne King, Ph.D., has recently taken up the position as the Distinguished Professor of Social Sciences at the University of Sydney in Australia.
Her research delves into the complexities of human behavior and societal norms, with a particular emphasis on inclusivity and combating discrimination. In 2023, Dr. King was an invited keynote speaker at the University of Melbourne's symposium celebrating 60 years of gender diversity in postgraduate studies. She has also facilitated leadership workshops for executives at this prestigious institution. During her tenure as a visiting Professor of Sociology at the University of Auckland, she spearheaded the development of a new curriculum aimed at promoting cultural intelligence in business environments.
In collaboration with Dr. Emily Carter from the University of Canterbury, Daphne pioneered the equity-awareness framework, which Forbes Magazine highlighted as one of the "Top Innovations in Diversity Leadership." Her groundbreaking work on inclusive leadership (with Dr. Laura Green) earned them the prestigious Equality Award for outstanding contributions to social integration studies. Both frameworks have been implemented across various cultures and industries, marking significant strides in the field of organizational behavior and are frequently cited in academic literature. Beyond her 100 scholarly articles and chapters, Dr. King is the co-author of four books, including the acclaimed titles "The Routledge Companion to Social Equity" and "Gender Dynamics in Modern Societies."
As a recognized authority on social justice issues, Dr. King has provided expert testimony in landmark legal cases concerning workplace equality in Sydney and Brisbane, advocating for policies that foster a more inclusive society.
