David Woods

David Woods earned his B.A. in Communications from UCLA and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He then moved to Austin, Texas, where he became a professor at the University of Texas, teaching courses on Leadership and Innovation. His research delved into the collaborative processes within tech startups, exploring how diverse teams can innovate under pressure.

A self-proclaimed film enthusiast, David had an epiphany during a rainy afternoon while rewatching "The Social Network." Inspired by this realization, he began to see that film production teams are much like agile development squads in the tech world, facing tight deadlines and relying heavily on trust and adaptability.

He has published several articles on leadership lessons from Hollywood and is now working on a book that explores how the principles of filmmaking can enhance team performance in any industry.
