Dexter Joseph Lindsey

Motto:You must expect great things of yourself before you can do them.
Dexter Joseph Lindsey, Ph.D., is the director and founder of The Pacific Mind Wellness Center in Los Angeles. Established in 2010, the Center has become a beacon for innovative mental health care on the West Coast. With his expertise in clinical psychology and neuropsychology, Dr. Lindsey has pioneered several programs that focus on holistic wellness and resilience building.
In a city known for its fast-paced lifestyle and high stress levels, Dr. Lindsey saw an opportunity to introduce a more integrative approach to therapy. This was at a time when traditional talk therapy was still dominant, and many were skeptical about alternative methods. Over the years, this perspective has evolved, with the Center now recognized as a leader in progressive mental health practices.
Dr. Lindsey's commitment to education and training has influenced countless professionals. Hundreds of therapists, counselors, and healthcare workers have undergone specialized training at the Center, going on to champion similar approaches in their own practices. Thousands of individuals have benefited from the personalized care provided by the Center, finding new ways to navigate life's challenges.
A graduate of UCLA with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Dr. Lindsey also completed postdoctoral work at Stanford University, focusing on cognitive neuroscience and behavioral interventions. He has held academic appointments at USC and UCLA, where he has shared his knowledge with future generations of psychologists.
Dr. Lindsey is a sought-after speaker, having presented at conferences across North America and Europe. He has appeared on various platforms including TEDx, NPR, and HBO Max, discussing topics ranging from mindfulness to overcoming adversity. Recognized within the field, he has received accolades such as the Innovator Award from the American Psychological Association and served on the advisory board for the Journal of Holistic Psychology.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Lindsey is the author of "Mind Over Matter" and "The Resilience Blueprint," two books that have helped demystify psychological concepts for the general public. Additionally, he has contributed over 60 articles to peer-reviewed journals and popular magazines, further cementing his reputation as a thought leader in the realm of mental health and well-being.
