Dillon M. Carter is now an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science at the University of British Columbia (go Thunderbirds!), nestled in the heart of Vancouver, Canada. Dillon earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology from McGill University (go Redmen and Martlets!), a Master's Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto (go Varsity Blues!), and his Ph.D. in Ecology from the University of Alberta (go Golden Bears and Pandas!). Before diving into his doctoral research, Dillon spent three years as a field researcher with Parks Canada.

Carter explores various areas such as biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation, urban ecology, environmental ethics, wildlife management, sustainable development, outdoor recreation, and eco-tourism. His work, particularly on innovative approaches to protecting endangered species, has been featured in many prestigious scientific journals and publications, earning him recognition both within Canada and abroad.
