Eadith

Motto:The best way to build confidence is through small victories.
Eadith Walker is a researcher at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with both the Department of Psychology and the Centre for Research in Child Development. Her work delves into innovative educational programs aimed at understanding how children develop social and emotional skills. This November, Eadith launched an interactive workshop series in London that invites educators and parents to explore new methods of fostering empathy and cooperation among young learners.
Eadith's latest project, initiated in early 2024, took place in the bustling city of London, where she collaborated with local schools to implement a curriculum focused on enhancing students' ability to make thoughtful decisions. The program, set against the backdrop of the culturally rich British Museum, brought together experts from various fields to contribute their insights on child development.
In this unique setting, Eadith not only organized lectures but also facilitated hands-on activities that allowed participants to experience firsthand the methodologies she has been researching. Through these workshops, held over several weekends in October, Eadith aimed to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application, ensuring that her findings could be effectively translated into everyday teaching practices.
As part of her ongoing efforts, Eadith plans to expand the scope of her research to include feedback from the community, further refining the educational tools and strategies that have emerged from her work. With a keen eye on the future, Eadith continues to advocate for an education system that nurtures the whole child, preparing them not just academically, but also socially and emotionally for the challenges ahead.
