Eleanor Green earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oxford and her Ph.D. from Harvard University. After a few years of lecturing at Boston University and Harvard, in 2015 she became part of the faculty at the University of California, Berkeley, where, alongside Dr. Jane Foster, she established the innovative digital humanities program. Eleanor is the co-editor of "The Global Anthology of Modern Poetry" and the author of "Rethinking the Baroque Era." She has contributed extensively to the discourse on literature, with articles appearing in prestigious journals such as "The London Review of Books," "Critical Inquiry," "Modern Language Notes," and "The Journal of Contemporary Literature." In 2023, she was honored with the American Academy of Arts and Sciences award for her outstanding essay on contemporary fiction. Eleanor also writes a popular column on cultural trends for the British quarterly "Thought & Culture." Alongside her husband, Thomas, Eleanor now calls Portland, Oregon, home, where they enjoy exploring the vibrant local art scene.
