Elsie Turner has made a remarkable impact in the field of environmental science, serving as a distinguished professor at the University of Sydney since 2010. Based in Australia, Elsie has dedicated her career to studying and teaching about climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies, with a particular focus on renewable energy adoption and sustainable urban development.

From early 2024 onwards, Elsie has taken on the role of Director of the Environmental Sustainability Program within the Faculty of Science. She is an esteemed member of several organizations, including the Australian Academy of Science, where she holds fellowship status. Elsie is also a founding member of the International Renewable Energy Society and serves as a board member for the Global Climate Adaptation Network.
