Enoch, an accomplished scholar, completed his undergraduate and master's studies at the University of Lagos in Nigeria, before earning his Ph.D. from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, focusing on climate change and sustainable development.

Following a period as a research associate at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, Enoch joined the faculty at the American University of Beirut. His academic portfolio boasts over 80 peer-reviewed articles, several contributions to edited volumes, and co-editorship of a book titled "Sustainable Urban Development in African Cities" (Springer, 2021). He has also written or co-written "The Green Earth: A Guide to Sustainable Living" (EcoPress, 2005), "Water Warriors: The Fight for Clean Water Resources" (Blue Planet Books, 2015), "The Equity Principle: Social Justice and Environmental Policy" (Justice Press, 2019), and "Masters of Adaptation: Life Strategies in Changing Climates" (Oxford University Press, 2024).

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to environmental science and policy, Enoch was awarded the title of Distinguished Professor at the American University of Beirut in 2023. Additionally, he has been honored as the prestigious Yale University Climate Fellow at the Yale School of the Environment for the 2024-2025 academic year.
