Ethan Thompson, Ph.D., is a Research Associate at the Institute for Social and Economic Studies at UCLA. He dives into practical research, leveraging data on community engagement to bridge the gap between sociology, economics, and urban planning. Based in Los Angeles, Ethan's work focuses on how enhancing local participation can lead to improved city policies and resident satisfaction. His latest project, launched in April 2024, explores innovative ways to increase civic involvement in underrepresented neighborhoods across Southern California. Through his efforts, Ethan aims to foster stronger communities and more inclusive policy-making processes.
