Felicity

Motto:Stay true to yourself and never let anyone dull your sparkle.
Felicity Morgan, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Community Development at the University of Oregon. She oversees the Urban Sustainability and Community Engagement Center. Her work centers on innovative solutions for sustainable living and community-driven projects. Felicity was honored with the Emerging Leader Award by the Environmental Society for her impactful contributions to sustainability research early in her career. Her findings have been featured in top environmental and urban planning journals and have garnered support from numerous green initiative funds.
On a crisp autumn morning in late October 2024, Felicity embarked on a new chapter in Portland, Oregon, where she moved to take up her new position. The bustling city provided the perfect backdrop for her latest endeavor: launching a city-wide program aimed at reducing waste and promoting recycling among residents. With a strong belief in the power of community involvement, Felicity worked tirelessly to organize workshops and events that would educate and inspire local citizens.
Her efforts quickly gained traction, and within a few weeks, the initiative saw significant participation from various neighborhoods across the city. Felicity's passion for fostering sustainable practices resonated with many, leading to a surge in volunteer sign-ups and partnerships with local businesses. Through her leadership and dedication, Felicity not only advanced her academic pursuits but also made a tangible difference in the lives of Portland's inhabitants.
