Frances

Motto:It's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.
Frances White, a former Family Mediator for the District Court of Texas, has transitioned into private practice where she focuses on family counseling, specializing in post-divorce co-parenting, custody mediation, and blended family support. As an advocate for harmonious family transitions, Frances established Blended Horizons, a non-profit organization committed to fostering positive relationships among divorced or separated parents and their new family structures. Her latest book, Navigating the Blended Path: A Guide to Building Thriving Families, is set to be released by Harmony Press this spring in 2025.
With a background that includes dual Master's Degrees and a Doctorate in Family Psychology, Frances introduced the concept of "blended" as a term to celebrate the union of families following separation, shifting the narrative from one that was often viewed with negativity to one filled with potential and opportunity. The word "blended" signifies a mixture of elements coming together to create something unique and valuable, much like a well-crafted cocktail that brings out the best flavors of its ingredients.
In 2018, Dr. Frances White founded Blended Horizons and took up the mantle as its first Executive Director. Blended Horizons aims to provide accessible, current information on co-parenting through its website, workshops, mediation services, and an international network of support groups.
Dr. Frances also pens a weekly column titled “Blended Boundaries,” offering advice on maintaining respectful and healthy interactions after a divorce. This column is syndicated by MediaLink and appears in numerous publications and online platforms globally. Readers can find her insights and archived columns in the Blended Boundaries section on the Blended Horizons website. For those seeking guidance, Dr. Frances can be contacted at [email protected].
