Freya Anderson, Ph.D., took up the mantle as the inaugural Freyja Bjork Chair in the History of Medicine at the University of Copenhagen this spring. Alongside her academic role, she serves as the Chief Curator at Denmark's Museum of Medical History. Her scholarly journey has seen her studying and collaborating with institutions in Berlin, Paris, Vienna, and Reykjavik.

Her publications delve into diverse areas surrounding biotechnology, wellness practices, and the cultural impacts of medical advancements. She also contributes as an editor for the prestigious journals "Cultural Perspectives on Health" and "The Evolution of Medical Science."
