Gabriella Young, a passionate animal behavior consultant and bestselling author, has made it her mission to spread the word on how to enrich the lives of our furry companions. With her engaging books, "Tails: The Art of Joyful Dog Ownership" and "Whiskers: Creating a Blissful Environment for Your Cat," she has captivated audiences worldwide, offering insights into what truly makes our pets thrive. Her upcoming book, "Echoes: Understanding and Supporting Your Sensitive Pet," is set to launch in December 2024, delving into the complexities of pet anxiety and providing practical solutions.
Young holds a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior from the University of Oxford and an M.A. in Creative Nonfiction from New York University. She has also completed specialized training at the Academy of Animal Behaviorists, earning top honors, and obtained an Advanced Diploma in Canine Psychology with Merit from the American Kennel Club. Gabriella is a certified member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and holds affiliate status with the European Society of Veterinary Clinical Ethology.
Born and raised in San Francisco, California, Gabriella now resides in the charming coastal town of Monterey, where she enjoys the serene ocean views with her family, which includes two rescue dogs and a mischievous tabby cat. Through her popular blog, "Paws & Tails Psychology," Gabriella shares her knowledge, blending scientific research with heartfelt stories to help pet owners create joyful and harmonious homes for their animals.
