Gemma Thompson is a graphic designer and community leader based in Sydney, Australia, and the proud parent of a young adult with ADHD. She volunteers her time managing Creative Minds, an online platform that encourages artistic expression among young adults, and works as a guest lecturer at the University of Sydney's Design School. Gemma is also deeply involved with the Sydney Support Group for Neurodiversity (SSGN), a nonprofit organization committed to fostering an inclusive society for individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions, where she leads the Outreach Program.

Her illustrations and design work have graced the pages of various international magazines and websites, such as The Sydney Morning Herald, The Guardian Australia, Art Review Asia, Elle Decoration, and Australian House & Garden. Gemma’s creative projects often highlight social issues, aiming to inspire change and awareness.

Gemma holds an MA in Visual Communication from the University of Technology Sydney and a BA in Fine Arts from the University of New South Wales. In her blog, NeuroDiversity in Colors, she shares personal insights and stories that reflect her passion for promoting understanding and acceptance of neurodiversity. Her views expressed on the platform are her own.

The sunny Sunday afternoon of December 8th, 2024, found Gemma preparing for an upcoming workshop aimed at empowering neurodiverse artists. Sitting in her cozy home studio by the picturesque Darling Harbour, she felt grateful for the vibrant community she had helped build and excited about the opportunities ahead.
