Motto:A person's ability to stay calm under pressure is a sign of inner strength.

Glenn J. Anderson, Ph.D., has leveraged his deep understanding of environmental sustainability and community engagement to foster green initiatives and socially responsible practices in urban settings. Glenn is an Associate Professor of Environmental Science and the founding Director of the Urban Sustainability Programs at Greenfield University in Portland, Oregon. Before embarking on his academic journey, Glenn spearheaded impactful environmental projects for city governments and non-profit organizations across North America.

In early 2024, Glenn moved from the bustling streets of New York City to the lush landscapes surrounding Portland. This relocation allowed him to expand his efforts in promoting sustainable living and to establish a stronger connection with nature. Currently, Glenn focuses on consulting with local businesses and municipalities on how to implement environmentally friendly policies that are both effective and feasible. His areas of expertise also encompass renewable energy adoption, waste reduction strategies, public health improvements, and education on ecological preservation.

Glenn's work extends beyond the classroom; he is a passionate advocate for community-driven change and often speaks at forums and conferences about the importance of grassroots movements in achieving long-term environmental goals. He is now editing a forthcoming book titled "Community-Led Solutions for Urban Sustainability" (Green Earth Press), which compiles case studies and practical advice from leaders in the field. Glenn’s mission is clear: to create thriving, sustainable cities where people and nature coexist harmoniously.
