Griffin Shaw

Motto:One good turn deserves another.
Griffin Shaw, Ph.D., is a lecturer in psychology and cognitive science at the University of Auckland. He has been fascinated by human behavior and the brain's ability to adapt since he was a student. Based in New Zealand, Griffin spends his days exploring how our brains process complex information and make decisions under pressure. From the bustling campus in Auckland to remote field studies in the Pacific Islands, Griffin's research takes him on an exciting journey. In 2023, he embarked on a project that investigates the impact of virtual reality on neural pathways, aiming to uncover new ways to aid rehabilitation for patients with neurological disorders. His passion for understanding the brain's plasticity and its sensorimotor systems drives him to push the boundaries of what we know about the mind.
