Hayden Moore, Ph.D., is a lecturer in philosophy at the University of Sydney and an affiliated scholar at Stanford University. He's the author of "The Memory Capsule: The Journey to Enhance Memory and a Scientist's Breakthrough That Reshaped Cognitive Science," published by Princeton University Press this year. His latest publications include "Memory: A Philosophical Examination," released by Cambridge University Press in 2023, and "The Cognitive Brain: An Introductory Guide for Students," Second Edition, which came out with Routledge just last month.

On a sunny Monday morning in early March 2024, Hayden sat in his cozy office on the campus of the University of Sydney, overlooking the lush greenery of the Botanic Gardens. Surrounded by shelves lined with books on neuroscience and philosophy, he reflected on how far cognitive science had come since his initial research into memory enhancement. It was in this very office that he penned much of "The Memory Capsule," drawing inspiration from the vibrant academic community around him.

Hayden's work has not only delved into the philosophical implications of memory but also explored the ethics surrounding cognitive enhancement technologies. His discoveries have led to significant advancements in understanding how memories are formed, stored, and sometimes lost. Through his writings and teachings, Hayden continues to challenge students and scholars alike to think deeply about the nature of cognition and the impact of scientific progress on society.
