Her therapeutic approach empowers individuals and families to connect more deeply with what truly resonates with them, fostering resilience and aiding them in overcoming life's challenges to lead a meaningful and enriched life.

Hazel earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacifica Graduate Institute, where she was awarded the Joseph Campbell scholarship for her exceptional academic performance. She has been committed to advancing her education and will be pursuing further certification in narrative therapy by 2026. Her research focuses on the narratives that shape our identities and how these stories can either limit or liberate us in our pursuit of authentic self-expression.

Currently, Hazel is contributing to a chapter in the upcoming book "Narrative Approaches to Healing: Stories of Transformation" set to release in early 2025 through Sage Publications. This volume delves into the power of storytelling as a therapeutic tool across different cultures and contexts. Additionally, she co-authored an article titled "The Power of Story: How Narrative Therapy Can Change Lives," which will appear in the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy later this year.

Hazel presented at the 2024 Annual Conference of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) on "Narrative Therapy and the Art of Self-Definition." Her presentation explored how clients can redefine themselves and their relationships through the conscious reshaping of their personal narratives.

She is also an active member of the organizing committee for the International Narrative Therapy Symposium, scheduled to take place in Seattle, Washington, in 2026. The symposium aims to bring together therapists and scholars from around the globe to share insights on the latest developments in narrative therapy.

For over a decade, Hazel has been dedicated to supporting people in various settings, including schools, community centers, and private practice, where she offers therapy services that are both compassionate and effective.
