Henry Perez, a former marine biologist with a zest for adventure, has recently hung up his diving gear after decades of exploring the underwater world. Henry earned his B.S. in Marine Biology at the University of Miami and completed his Ph.D. at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He also conducted postdoctoral research on marine conservation at the University of Sydney.

Living in San Diego now, Henry has spent years teaching at the University of California, San Diego, where he inspired countless students with his passion for ocean life. In addition to academia, Henry is an avid writer. His book "Tides of Change: A Pacific Odyssey" recounts his thrilling encounters with marine ecosystems across the vast Pacific Ocean. Henry's articles can often be found in "Oceanographic Magazine," where he shares insights and stories from his expeditions.

When not writing or lecturing, Henry enjoys leading snorkeling tours off the coast of La Jolla, promoting environmental awareness and the importance of protecting our oceans. His commitment to marine life and education continues to influence both the scientific community and the public alike.
