Ian Sebastian Hall

Motto:The reason why a great man is great is that he resolves to be a great man.
Ian Sebastian Hall, Ph.D., is a seasoned cognitive behavioral therapist (CBT) and mindfulness coach with over two decades of experience in empowering individuals to overcome personal challenges and emotional hurdles. His expertise spans a wide array of issues, from depression and anxiety to relationship troubles and career-related stress.
Based in Sydney since 2018, Ian operates both a private practice and collaborates with St. Vincent's Hospital. He extends his reach through virtual sessions, connecting with clients across Australia and Asia. Before settling in Sydney, Ian spent more than 15 years working as a therapist in Melbourne, where he established thriving practices in various parts of the city. Notably, Ian was also a consultant at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, specializing in the treatment of patients with stress-related gastrointestinal disorders.
Ian holds a B.A. in psychology and philosophy and earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology. In addition, he has completed advanced training in mindfulness-based stress reduction and integrative bodywork.
Ian's background includes a successful career as a public speaker and educator. He has contributed to numerous podcasts, webinars, and conferences on mental health and wellness topics. He frequently leads seminars and workshops, focusing on the integration of mindfulness practices into daily life for improved mental health.
In an unexpected turn of events, Ian's pet parrot, adopted from a local wildlife sanctuary, has become somewhat of a social media sensation, known for its calming presence during therapy sessions. The bird often accompanies Ian in his work, providing comfort to clients and adding a unique twist to traditional therapy settings.
Ian is the author of "The Mindful Path: Rewriting Your Story," published by HarperCollins, which explores how mindfulness can transform one's outlook on life and enhance overall well-being.
