Isabella Baker, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the Greenfield School of Social Sciences, University of Cambridge. She earned her doctorate in Social Psychology from Harvard University. Before joining academia, Isabella spent a decade working as a community development consultant in various non-profit organizations across Europe and Southeast Asia. Currently, she focuses her research on community resilience, mental health promotion, and the impact of social media on interpersonal relationships. Isabella firmly believes that individuals can achieve greater happiness and success by investing more time in building strong communities and nurturing personal connections.
Dr. Baker's studies have been published in prestigious academic journals including Nature Human Behaviour, The Lancet Psychiatry, and Journal of Community Psychology. Her insights have also caught the attention of mainstream media outlets like The Guardian, BBC Focus, TED Talks, The New York Times, and NPR. She calls the charming city of Cambridge, England, home, living there with her partner and their rescue dog, Max. Outside of her professional commitments, Isabella delights in exploring local farmers' markets, practicing yoga, and volunteering for environmental causes.
On a crisp autumn morning in November 2024, Isabella embarked on a new chapter of her career by launching a pioneering project aimed at enhancing community engagement through digital platforms. This initiative not only seeks to foster closer ties among residents but also aims to provide support networks for those facing mental health challenges. With a wealth of experience and a heart full of passion, Isabella is poised to make a significant difference in the lives of many.
