Ivy Nguyen

Motto:He who hesitates is lost.
Ivy Nguyen, M.D., is a dedicated pediatrician and assistant professor at the University of California, San Diego. Over the last decade, she has focused on how community support can enhance the overall well-being of immigrant families. Ivy moved to San Diego in 2014, finding it a welcoming place with diverse cultures that enrich her work.
Living in sunny Southern California has allowed Ivy to integrate outdoor activities into her health programs, emphasizing the importance of physical activity and nature for mental health. Last summer, she launched a series of workshops aimed at teaching parents and children about healthy living through interactive games and hands-on cooking classes. Her book, "Growing Together: A Guide to Building Healthy Habits in Immigrant Families," was released just this September and has already received praise for its practical advice and heartwarming stories from the community.
Ivy's commitment to improving public health doesn't stop within the university walls. She often volunteers at local health fairs and collaborates with non-profit organizations to ensure that all families have access to the resources they need. Through her efforts, Ivy hopes to bridge cultural gaps and provide better healthcare solutions for everyone in her vibrant community.
