Jackson Wilson, Ph.D., is a distinguished professor of psychology at the University of Sydney, a certified psychologist, and an inaugural board member of the Global Empathy Network (genetwork.org). Jackson has been instrumental in advancing the social scientific exploration of empathy. He boasts an impressive portfolio of over 150 publications, including eight books: Understanding Empathy, Empowering Clients Through Compassion, Empathy: The Heart's Choice, Beyond the Rainbow (for children), The Empathetic Life, 10 Keys to Cultivating Empathy, and Empathy Therapy.

He and his team have crafted and refined a therapeutic approach known as Empathy Therapy, which has provided significant benefits to individuals ranging from veterans suffering from PTSD, youth in correctional facilities, residents in elderly care homes, and patients in psychiatric units. Wilson has also spearheaded Empathy Education initiatives for educators in cities like Tokyo, Japan, Cairo, Egypt, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Cape Town, South Africa.

In recognition of his groundbreaking work on empathy, Jackson was awarded the APA Platinum Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Psychology in 2023, deemed by the American Psychological Association as one of the most prestigious accolades in the field.

On a warm spring day in March 2024, under the eucalyptus trees of the university's expansive campus in Sydney, Dr. Wilson continues to inspire countless students and professionals with his teachings and research, advocating for a more compassionate world where understanding and empathy prevail.
