Jarvis Thompson, Ph.D., is a Research Scientist at the Silicon Valley Innovation Center. He leads a team that explores how emerging technologies like AI and machine learning can enhance decision-making processes in business environments. Jarvis was awarded a prestigious Tech Pioneer Fellowship in 2023, recognizing his innovative approaches to integrating technology with human cognition. In 2024, he was highlighted as an Industry Leader by the International Technology Association.
Jarvis earned his B.A. from Stanford University in 2011, where he majored in Computer Science with a focus on artificial intelligence. He went on to receive his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2018, concentrating on cognitive systems. After completing a postdoctoral position at Google's Advanced Technology and Projects group in early 2024, Jarvis moved to his current role at the Silicon Valley Innovation Center, where he continues to push the boundaries of what machines and humans can achieve together.
