Jonah Reed, M.D., is a dedicated child and adolescent psychiatrist based at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, PA. With a rich background in pediatric mental health, Jonah is actively involved with the hospital’s Innovation Lab, where he focuses on the integration of digital platforms into therapeutic practices.
A Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, Jonah also serves as a Contributing Editor for the Penn Journal of Psychiatry. His research interests lie in understanding how modern technology impacts youth development and mental well-being. He has contributed to numerous scholarly articles in journals such as Pediatrics and Adolescent Health, exploring the nuanced connections between digital media exposure and psychological outcomes.
Jonah has been featured on TED Talks discussing safe online habits for children, and he frequently addresses conferences and community groups on the topic of youth engagement with technology. In his current role as Director of Child Psychiatry Services at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, he collaborates closely with the CHOP Learning Institute, which focuses on continuing education for healthcare professionals. Dr. Reed earned his medical degree from Cornell University and completed his residency and fellowship in both general and child psychiatry at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
